Ceu Azul Far

The Céu Azul boat when seen from afar.

Céu Azul is a tour boat in Rio 2 where Blu, Jewel, Carla, Bia, Tiago, Rafael, Nico and Pedro stopped to spend the night during the last part of their journey to the Amazon Rainforest.

Role[]

In Rio 2, the Céu Azul boat is first seen when Nigel hears Blu talking to his family about their progress to the Amazon Rainforest, momentarily overwhelming Nigel with his past occurrences with Blu, then forces himself to reassert control and escape from the dock's market. At dusk, on the roof of the boat, Jewel is seen enjoying the fresh air, then yells "Goodbye, stinky city air!" in celebration, followed by a less enthusiastic Blu. Little did they know that a few conspirators were resting just three decks below their feet.

Later that night, Nigel, Gabi, and Charlie tried to sneak to the upper decks to allow Nigel to get his "revenge", waking up a tourist sleeping on a hammock in the process, but Nigel quickly lulled him back to sleep. Just as Nigel is about to strike Blu, Charlie, who was a little too distracted by a few ants that were crawling in a plastic bottle, accidentally vacuumed-stuck his snout into the bottle, causing him to tug on it with such effort that it hit the button for the boat's foghorn, waking everyone on the boat up and stunning Nigel onto the deck below, thus foiling Nigel's plans once again and saving Blu's life. Then Charlie, Nigel, and Gabi get kicked off the boat. Jewel, thinking that Tiago is part of the cause, says "Tiago! Stop fooling around!", then Blu tells him to "listen to his mother". That morning, Jewel, Carla, Bia, Tiago, Rafael, Nico, and Pedro flew off the boat. Blu tries to catch up to them, but fails. Then Nigel, Gabi, and Charlie realized that they were getting away, so they used a flotation utensil to try to catch up to all of them. However, Charlie floats in their direction too slowly, so Nigel says to him "Better. Now go ten times faster".

Trivia[]

  • "Céu Azul" means "Blue Sky" in Portuguese, which refers to Blue Sky Studios, the animation studio that animated Rio and Rio 2.
